  8. what is the engine coolant temp sensor doing, measure the sensor using a multimeter from cold and observe as it warms up

  10. Check for a spark, disconnect cylinder 1 ignition lead and put a good known spark plug in the end, rest it against the alternator cast bracket, have someone crank the engine while you observe the spark

  14. I had it in mine just the same as this I replaced the gauge and it fixed it New from vw Not sure if you can still buy it new now
  15. Gauge fault is common on rallyes poss gauge with light or printed circuit
